About Morgan
Morgan Eugenio, LCSW
She/Her/Hers
I received my master’s degree in clinical social work from Columbia University as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology and leadership from the University of Richmond. While in graduate school, I interned at New York Presbyterian’s adult partial hospitalization program where I led CBT/DBT groups and provided individual counseling. Since graduating in 2019, I have worked in private practices in New York City serving teenagers, adults, and parents looking for guidance in supporting their anxious teens. I am licensed in the states of New York, California, and Colorado. I am passionate and skilled at utilizing evidence-based interventions to target OCD and anxiety-related disorders as well as emotion dysregulation and trauma.
While working at my first group practice, I received extensive training in empirically supported therapies including Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Therapy for BFRBs (HRT), and several interventions for trauma (STAIR-NST, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy). I am also a member of the International OCD Foundation.
Later in my career, I transitioned to working at a private practice that offered comprehensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). While there, I led a DBT skills group with parents and their teens and provided individual counseling. I also honed my skills in suicide prevention and crisis management. During this time, I completed my DBT-intensive training under Charlie Swenson, one of the pioneers of DBT.
Do not worry if you are unfamiliar with any of the treatments listed above. I will provide you with all the information you need once we get started. If you would like a high-level explanation of the treatments I offer, please visit the treatment approach page.
For a little more about me: I have spent time on both coasts - in San Francisco and New York. However, I currently live in Colorado. I love hiking, reading, running, spending time with friends, or trying new restaurants. I also truly love what I do! I enthusiastically attend trainings and read books to enhance my self-work and my work with clients. I practice what I preach and, as a result, firmly believe in the human capacity for growth.
